The 2023-2024 NCAA Women's College Basketball season concluded on April 7 with South Carolina winning the NCAA Women's Championship 87-75 over Iowa. In recent weeks, the NCAA has also opened the NCAA Transfer Portal, which has led to too many questions around what players are returning, and who is declaring for the 2024 WNBA Draft on April 15.

With the 2024 WNBA Draft on the horizon, many of the NCAA Women's Basketball's biggest stars such as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and Cameron Brink have declared for the WNBA Draft.

While other notable names such as Paige Bueckers of UConn have announced their return for the 2024-2025 season, or have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, such as Haley Van Lith of LSU.

When Is The WNBA Draft 2024?

The WNBA Draft is scheduled for 6:30pm (Central) on April 15 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, New York.  

This marks the first time the WNBA Draft will be a seated event with fans in attendance since the 2014-2016 drafts held at Mohegan Sun Arena. 

How Many Rounds Are In The WNBA Draft?

The WNBA Draft consists of three rounds, with each round consisting of twelve picks. All three rounds will take place on April 15. 

How to Watch the 2024 WNBA Draft?

The 2024 WNBA will be broadcast on ESPN and streaming is available via ESPN+. The draft will begin at 6:30pm (Central) on April 15.

With many players still having NCAA eligibility, everyone wants to know who is returning to play in college or heading to the WNBA Draft. 

Players still participating in the NCAA Tournament can declare themselves eligible for the draft within 48 hours of their final games.
