1. Drexel NCAA Tournament History
The Dragons earned their trip to the 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament and learned they are the 16th seed set to face No.1 Texas in the first round. Here's a look at Drexel's performance in the tournament in previous years.

2. Drexel Women's Basketball has momentum
Drexel Women's Basketball won its third CAA Tournament title on March 17, with a 68-60 win over No.1 Stony Brook. In the CAA Championship Game, Drexel shot 50% from FG and 57% from the 3-point FG.
One of their best shooting performances as a team came on day four of the tournament after having to win in each round as the No.7 seed.
This is the second consecutive time the No.7 seed has won the CAA Women's tournament. Coming off a great shooting night against No.1 Stony Brook will aid in their preparation for No. 1 Texas
3. Drexel's Amaris Baker Is Leading The Way In March.
Amaris Baker, who was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2024 Championship, led the charge with a game high 19 points points and four three-pointers . Baker has led the Dragons in scoring over the past four contents peaking at the right time in March Madness.
Baker averaged 19.8 points per game during the Dragons four-day run in the CAA Tournament.
On the season, Baker is averaging 11.8 ppg while shooting 46% from the field and 34% from 3-point FG. In the Championship game she contributed four three-pointers, Brooke Mullin also hit four three-pointers and has played a major part in the Dragon's run as well.

When Does The 2024 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Start?
The tournament will begin with Selection Sunday on March 17, followed by the First Four on March 20-21.
After the opening round is complete, the field will be set with the top 64 teams and the first round will start on March 22-23.
What Is Selection Sunday?
Selection Sunday is the day the NCAA committee releases the full tournament bracket initial seeding of all 68 teams.
Thirty-two teams will automatically qualify for the tournament by winning their conference tournament.
That leaves 36 other teams fighting for an at-large bid from the selection committee, which is considered through multiple stats and rankings to determine who receives the at-large bid.
