PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Shanique Lucas, Gr., G, Union  

Lucas led Union to a perfect 2-0 record for the week with averages of 24 points on 61 percent shooting, four rebounds, and four steals per game. In the 86-79 triumph against Auburn Montgomery, the graduate student delivered a season-high 32 points on 62 percent shooting while securing six rebounds. Lucas also finished with a game-high 4 steals in the overtime victory. 

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Grace O’Gara, Fr., G, Auburn Montgomery

O’Gara played a key role in AUM's 2-1 record last week, earning her third GSC Freshman of the Week award. She averaged 12 points and 6.5 rebounds over three games. In the 71-61 win against Christian Brothers, O’Gara scored 20 points on 57 percent shooting, her second-highest point total of the season. She set career highs with 14 free throw attempts and 12 makes. Additionally, O’Gara recorded a career-high seven rebounds in the win against CBU.
