Drexel University women’s basketball guard Maura Hendrixson has been named one of 10 midseason watch list members for the 2023 Nancy Lieberman Award, announced Monday by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
It marks the 23rd season of the Nancy Lieberman Award, annually recognizing the top point guard in NCAA women's basketball.
Hendrixson, a fifth-year player for the Dragons, has established herself as one of the top facilitators in the nation this season.

While setting up her teammates for success, she also protects the ball, leading the conference and ranking 27th nationally in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.39).
Hendrixson has six games with 10 or more assists this season, which matches the second-most in the country, trailing only Nika Mühl of UConn, who also made the watch list.
Additionally, Hendrixson adds 7.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, playing a league-high 36.18 minutes per game.
A national committee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates in November, which has been narrowed to 10.
This list will be narrowed to five in late February, and the finalists will be selected in late March. Those names will be presented to Nancy Lieberman and the selection committee.
The winner of this award will be presented on a to-be-determined date.
College basketball fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting presented by Dell Technologies in each of the three rounds. Fan Voting presented by Dell Technologies will start on Feb. 3.
Here, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite players.
The top 5 player selections on the fan vote will get an additional vote toward making the next round.
